A podcast about data privacy, cybersecurity, and growing a business with integrity.
Like any good marriage, Jodi and Justin Daniels debate, evaluate, and sometimes even quarrel about data privacy and security in the 21st century.
Wait—that’s not all marriages? Huh.
Each week, we dive into a new way of working with data—going beyond compliance to discuss privacy-friendly strategies that build trust with customers. Expect stories like how failure to comply with GDPR regulations cost Google 50 million euro, informed coverage of developments in privacy law, and an insider take on the technologies that can help keep your data safe—as well as those to watch out for.
Jodi Daniels is the Founder and CEO of Red Clover Advisors, a boutique data privacy consultancy and one of the few certified Women’s Business Enterprises focused solely on privacy. Since its launch, Red Clover Advisors has helped hundreds of companies create privacy programs, achieve GDPR, CCPA, and US privacy law compliance, and establish a secure online data strategy that their customers can count on.
Jodi is a Certified Informational Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) with over 20 years of experience helping a range of businesses—from solopreneurs to multinational companies—in privacy, marketing, strategy, and finance roles. She has worked with numerous companies throughout her corporate career, including Deloitte, The Home Depot, Cox Enterprises, Bank of America, and many more. Justin provides his corporate clients a pragmatic approach to addressing cyber as a business enterprise risk at every stage in the business lifecycle. He specifically advises the c-suite and boards on identifying and managing cybersecurity risk with respect to mergers and acquisitions, investment capital transactions, vendor and customer contracts and cyber insurance. He leads breach incident response teams on ransomware and wire fraud cases in industries ranging from medical IT and logistics to manufacturing.
In 2020, a smart city innovation lab engaged Justin to help build cybersecurity and privacy into the DNA as part of the launch of their facility. The innovation lab has a 5G-enabled three-mile autonomous vehicle test track, a 25,000 square foot innovation center and an intelligent network of connected IoT devices. The facility serves as a test bed for autonomous vehicles, drones, IOT devices, facial recognition technology and has a level 3 autonomous vehicle along with the first deployment of remote e-scooters in the United States. As part of the engagement, he designed the onboarding process for these projects and the privacy and security principles surrounding the collection and data use from the projects. He is an FAA licensed Part 107 Commercial UAS (Drone) pilot.
