Leading Media Company Partners with RCA on their Compliance Journey

A leading independent modern media company we’re ready to implement the operational parts of the General Protection Data Regulation (GDPR). They had an in-house and external counsel, but no one to manage the day-to-day work to achieve full compliance. They also had customers asking for them to be compliant – they knew to be competitive, they needed to exceed customer expectations.

Vox Media engaged Red Clover Advisors to infuse data privacy into their entire company, without negatively impacting their daily business activities.

Infusing data privacy into the everyday

The process included a collaboration between our founder, Jodi Daniels, the company’s Director of Information Security, and their privacy attorney. Capitalizing on her experience working in the media industry, Daniels served as the privacy manager on the project.

She completed the data inventories, provided guidance on how consent for cookies should be managed, and got all the updated vendor agreements signed.

Daniels met weekly with the company to identify areas of opportunity and provide guidance on best practices, for example, managing individual rights and selecting consent tools.
